Our Emergency Outreach team recently led Bengals coaching staff through hands-on CPR and AED training to ensure they’re prepared if an emergent situation arises.
“It is our responsibility as coaches to be equipped to handle any unforeseen situations that could come up,” said Bengals Head Coach Zac Taylor. “We’ve seen firsthand how CPR saves lives, so we’re going to put in the work to make sure we’re prepared for any unforeseen moments.”

CPR can double or triple someone’s chance of survival if performed in the first few minutes of cardiac arrest, but most people don’t know how. Now, Bengals coaches are prepared.
We’re grateful for the members of our Emergency Outreach team who helped facilitate this training event, and so are the Bengals coaching staff.
“Kettering Health is a great partner. They have highly trained individuals for this type of training,” said Bengals Head Athletic Trainer Matt Summers. “It’s really important to have as many people within our organization prepared for the unpredictability of something like cardiac arrest. The more people who are educated on performing CPR, the more it enhances the potential survival rate for someone who goes into sudden cardiac arrest.”
