Daniel Wolcott has been named acute care president of Kettering Health. His first day will be August 14.
Most recently, Daniel served as the president of Adventist Health’s Kern County Network in central California. In this role, he was responsible for the strategy, operations, and performance of a three-hospital division that included multiple physician practices, clinics, and rural services.
During his leadership career, he built successful teams and organizational cultures. Those organizations have been recognized for achieving results in quality and patient experience, employee engagement and retention, community partnerships, and financial performance. These included recognition as one of “America’s Safest Hospitals” by AARP magazine, LeapFrog recognition as a Top Rural Hospital in America, and achieving top quartile scores in physician and staff engagement.
Daniel cares deeply about creating a culture where we honor each other, our patients, our providers, and our community. This means that he cares about quality, patient safety, provider and employee engagement, and believes that building strong cultures results in better outcomes for our patients, growing relevance for our consumers, and strong financial performance. Daniel believes that the faith-based mission of Kettering Health provides the strongest platform to serve our community and achieve excellent results.
In his role at Kettering Health as acute care president, he will assume responsibility for our hospitals and service lines. In addition, he will oversee nursing, supply chain, security and transportation, and serve as the Board Chair for Kettering College. Key priorities for Daniel will include building a system-wide quality and safety program, enhancing employee and physician engagement, and growing market share.
