We make a difference in our communities because of our outstanding people. And in February, we recognized several team members as Employee of the Month for putting our mission into action each day.
Employee of the Month recognizes the people you love to work with. The winners exhibit Kettering Health’s Standards of Behavior, live out our values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care.
Thank you for impacting the lives of those in our community by fulfilling our mission. Our work wouldn’t be possible without you!

Great leaders make you feel supported. Exceptional leaders make you feel valued, and that’s exactly the kind of supervisor Katrina Hill is.
Katrina consistently demonstrates leadership through her kindness, steady support, and genuine care for her team. She never hesitates to step in when help is needed, and when situations become urgent, she goes above and beyond to ensure everything is handled smoothly and efficiently. Her calm presence and proactive approach create stability in moments that could otherwise feel overwhelming.
More importantly, Katrina has cultivated an environment where her team feels welcomed, appreciated, and deeply connected to the mission of Kettering College. By fostering collaboration and encouraging each person’s contributions, she strengthens not only individual confidence but the culture of the entire workplace.
“She makes others feel welcomed and appreciated, strengthening our team and contributing to a positive, collaborative culture.”
Katrina embodies Leadership and Excellence in the way she shows up every day. Congratulations, Katrina, and thank you for leading with heart, integrity, and unwavering commitment to your team.
In moments when patients need clinical expertise and genuine human connection, Allyn Kraft delivers both without hesitation.
Allyn consistently goes above and beyond to ensure every patient feels heard, respected, and supported. His clinical skill is matched by deep compassion, and he takes the extra time to meet patients where they are, often making a lasting difference during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Whether offering reassurance, explaining next steps, or simply listening, Allyn helps restore hope when it’s needed most.
His impact extends just as strongly to his teammates. In high-acuity or high-stress situations, Allyn is someone others can rely on. He steps in willingly, offers thoughtful guidance, and brings a positive, steady presence that strengthens collaboration and trust across the team.
From a patient: “If you ever wonder if you have ever truly made a difference or left an impact, you did. I’m a lot happier and hopeful about each tomorrow because of you.”
Congratulations, Allyn, and thank you for the hope and healing you bring every day.
When a winter storm blanketed the roads and many of us prepared to stay through the weekend, Regina Robbins was already thinking about everyone else.
Before reporting for her shifts, Regina stopped at the grocery store and stocked up on enough food to feed an army. She reached out to coworkers to ask what they liked and made sure units had meals and snacks, especially when staff couldn’t leave or order food overnight due to the weather. She even shared food with patients and their families, who were beyond appreciative. Regina stayed in-house from Friday to Monday, clocking in early so others could leave ahead of the snow and get home safely. And true to her character, she refused to accept any money for what she provided, doing it purely out of kindness.
“It was such a small gesture that truly made a huge impact.”
Regina’s actions remind us that compassion doesn’t stop at the bedside. She embodies Wholeness, Belonging, and Leadership, turning a difficult weekend into a moment of connection and care. Congratulations, Regina—and thank you for the heart you share so generously.
When the Emergency Department is at its peak and the pace feels nonstop, Kaitlyn is always right there ready to go.
Even as a fairly new employee, she shows a level of commitment that stands out. She never complains about waiting a few extra minutes for a doctor to finish with a patient, even when timing constraints or productivity pressures could make it frustrating. Instead, she remains more than pleasant. Offering warm blankets, making sure patients have all their belongings, and helping them feel cared for during what can be a stressful time. She is consistently the transporter who stays until the very last minute of her shift to take that final patient up to the floor.
Those “little extra things” make a big difference. When patients are assigned beds late at night, Kaitlyn taking that last transport keeps the ER from being stretched too thin and allows the team to remain available for incoming patients.
“Her going the extra mile greatly helps us in the ER and improves the quality of our patients’ experiences.”
Kaitlyn is the embodiment of Kettering Health’s mission and values. Congratulations, Kaitlyn! You truly rock, and we’re grateful for the heart you bring to every shift.
When a challenge arose during our construction project, Emma stepped in with quick thinking and practical problem-solving.
After noticing that the suction canister rack had been installed too low on the wall, creating a risk of broken canisters from beds potentially striking them, Emma identified the hazard and acted fast. She developed a simple, cost-effective solution that prevented project delays and reduced the risk of hazardous waste spills. Her ability to assess the situation and implement a fix helped protect patient care spaces and staff safety.
Beyond this specific situation, Emma consistently maintains a positive attitude while staying focused on delivering safe and effective patient care. She keeps safety at the forefront while supporting a smooth workflow for everyone around her. Emma exemplifies excellence and wholeness through proactive action and attention to detail. Way to go, Emma and thank you for helping create a safer environment for patients and colleagues alike! Congratulations on being named employee of the month.
Long after the clinic doors begin to close, Kelly is still showing up for our patients. Often in ways no one sees.
In the past month alone, she has stayed late twice to ensure patients relying on public transportation made it home safely. When one patient’s ride didn’t arrive until 8 p.m., Kelly didn’t just wait, she kept him company, brought coffee and snacks, and even made him dinner so he wouldn’t go hungry. Day after day, she is the first to volunteer to come in early or stay late, stepping in without hesitation when patients are anxious, confused, or facing difficult situations. Colleagues often turn to her to help answer tough questions because they know she communicates with patience and care.
Her actions matter deeply. By creating a sense of safety and comfort during stressful moments, she helps patients feel seen, valued, and supported.
“Kelly stayed with the patient until 8 pm. … bringing him coffee and snacks. Our office is blessed to have her on our team.”
Congratulations, Kelly, and thank you for the extraordinary compassion you bring to every single day.
Some leaders don’t need a title to make an impact but in Jeanne Hudson’s case, her leadership is unmistakable.
As a valued member of the Clinical Outcomes Quality department, Jeanne’s expertise in infection control surveillance is a steady guide for newer infection control specialists. Recently, she took a closer look at the abstraction workflow for infection cases and identified an opportunity to better support her team. By voluntarily taking on additional house-wide surgical surveillance case reviews, she freed up critical time for the System Infection Control Manager during an especially demanding flu season. Her initiative strengthened team capacity and ensured continued focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.
Jeanne’s influence goes beyond her technical knowledge.
“I came to the Clinical Outcomes team as a new manager a few years ago; and Jeanne was there to support me in a way all leaders hope for. In July, Jeanne will have served Kettering Health for 40 years!”
Through humble service, mentorship, and a daily commitment to excellence, Jeanne exemplifies our Kettering Health mission and values. Congratulations, Jeanne and thank you for four decades of extraordinary dedication and impact.
