With its first graduating cohort stepping into advanced roles across the healthcare system, Kettering College’s Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program is already making an impact.
Designed for working professionals, the MSN program prepares nurses for leadership, education, and expanded clinical opportunities. It allows students to build on experience while growing in their careers and increasing their impact.
“Being part of the first MSN graduating cohort at Kettering College was incredibly meaningful,” said Kelsey Schweikert, MSN, RN. “It felt like we were helping lay the foundation for something that will impact nurses for years to come.”
Graduates have enhanced abilities to lead teams, think strategically, and influence outcomes in complex healthcare environments. The degree expands opportunities and reinforces career purpose.
“Pursuing my MSN allowed me to grow as a leader and educator while continuing to serve in a profession that has given so much to me,” said Diana Hollen, MSN, RN.
For nurses considering the next step, graduate Marilyn Reed, MSN, RN, has some advice.
“There may never be a perfect time,” she said. “If it’s something you want to do, give it your best while remembering your priorities.”
Kettering College’s MSN program is designed to support that balance, offering flexibility within a supportive, mission-driven learning environment.
