Kettering Health is once again supporting team members and their families through the annual School Backpack and Supplies Event. It’s an initiative that reflects the system’s mission to live God’s love by promoting and restoring health in practical, meaningful ways.

The program provides eligible students of Kettering Health employees with backpacks and essential school supplies, helping families prepare for the upcoming school year. As back-to-school costs continue to rise, this effort helps ease financial pressure and supports the overall well-being of employees and their children.

Applications for the 2026 program closed June 26, but the opportunity to donate is open July 1-17.

To make donating simple and convenient, an Amazon registry with the school supplies needed for this year’s drive is available. The quantity listed for each item reflects the number still needed, making it easy to see where your support can have the most impact. 

 Team members may also purchase a gift card through the registry. These are physical gift cards that will be mailed. To allow adequate time for shipping and purchasing supplies, the gift card option will be available through July 13. 

Once all donated items have been received and sorted, couriers will assist with delivering the backpacks and supplies to the appropriate campuses for distribution. 

Employees will be notified of their application status by July 20. For those approved, backpacks and supplies will be available for pickup at individual campuses during the week of July 27.
