A new, more accessible KNews has arrived.
The journey to redesign the site began in 2025, and the goal was to make something easier to reach, simpler to use and more mobile friendly, while building a stronger home for team member stories and systemwide communication.
The new KNews officially launched March 6.
Accessibility was a strong focus, starting with the creation of a simpler, more memorable URL and separating KNews from the Kettering Health (KH) Intranet. Optimization for mobile interaction has also been enhanced. Team members can reach it anytime, from anywhere. In the event of an emergency or outage, KNews will remain online, so communication with our teams will not be impeded.
Essentially, KNews will better serve as the destination for employee news and stories, instead of a place people only reached if they clicked a link.
User experience was another driver for the redesign. The new layout brings KNews in line with an updated look and it feels cleaner, more modern, and much easier to navigate. Additionally, streamlined article tags have been implemented to better support our focus on recognition, mission, and more meaningful storytelling across the KH system.
The goals to improve accessibility and user experience ensure KNews remains a reliable communication tool during emergencies and delivers major team-oriented objectives. It’s modern, intuitive, and aligned with how team members use internal communications these days.
Also, KNews is now positioned to be the home for team member stories, as the site looks to present more meaningful, people-centered storytelling.
Employees are encouraged to share ideas and stories by emailing KNews@ketteringhealth.org so we can highlight the incredible work happening every day across the system.
