Fertility Coverage*
This benefit is designed to help you with diagnosing and treating infertility, as well as supporting fertility treatments to achieve pregnancy. Employees and their dependents on our health plan will have a lifetime maximum coverage of $5,000 for both medical and prescription benefits.
What’s included:
- Diagnostic testing to identify the underlying medical condition causing infertility.**
- Treatment of the underlying condition, including corrective surgery.**
- Fertility treatments to help you become pregnant.
- Care through network providers, which include UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus fertility providers.***
*Available to employees and dependents on our health plan
**These services are covered under your medical plan and are separate from the fertility benefit.
***Premier Health providers are excluded.
Paid Parental Leave*
To support new parents in taking time off while continuing to receive their regular pay, both mother and partner employed by Kettering Health are eligible for two weeks of paid parental leave following the birth or adoption.
For benefit-eligible employees:
- The mother will receive two weeks paid following STD (during bonding time). Bonding time must be taken consecutively within one year of the child’s birth.
- The mother receives 6-8 weeks of STD depending on how they deliver. Lincoln would then convert the leave to “bonding” and would receive 2 weeks paid parental leave, and then they can take the additional bonding weeks paid or unpaid by their PTO. Maternity leave is 12 weeks max (6-8 weeks STD, the remaining weeks are considered bonding but with 2 weeks being paid.)
- Partner may take two weeks paid leave anytime within one year of the date of the birth of the child.
- The two weeks paid is based on your current rate of pay and FTE at the time of your leave of absence.
