Meet Tara Walker, executive director of Inpatient Acute Therapy, Inpatient Rehab, Outpatient Therapy, and Athletic Training!

The daughter of one armed forces member, and the wife of another, Tara has lived and worked around the globe. Ten years ago, a relocation to the Dayton area brought Tara to Kettering Health.

She says her greatest accomplishment in her time at Kettering Health is helping others “foster professional growth.”

“If someone is actively seeking opportunities, it’s my duty to remove any obstacles that keep them from achieving their goals” Tara shared.

And this growth, she said, often comes when people are willing to step outside of their comfort zone.

“Say yes to opportunities that scare of challenge you,” Tara said. “That’s where growth happens.”

Tara said the best advice she can give, and the most important lesson she’s learned is to “slow down and take time to evaluate your options.”

“As a leader, all decisions you make will have an impact on someone.”
