Program Details
The Nursing Assistant Program is designed for nursing students who have completed Foundations and are approaching their final clinical and academic experiences before graduation.
This immersive program offers hands-on experience in step-down, acute care, and emergency departments at Kettering Health. Participants work three 12-hour shifts per week, gaining confidence and clinical skills through direct patient care and growing autonomy in a real-world hospital environment. Students also benefit from shadowing opportunities and exposure to nursing leadership, providing insight into professional practice and future career paths.
Beyond the clinical setting, the program offers a supportive summer experience in Dayton, Ohio, with opportunities for connection, personal growth, and community engagement.
