Meet Susan Rice, RD, LD registered dietician for Kettering Health Network. Susan is from Catterick, near Richmond, North Yorkshire in the UK. Richmond is an old market town, founded in 1071 by the Normans, with a great castle! Richmond is also on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, with rolling green hills, stone walls, and sheep in the fields.

She joined the network in October of 2015 as a clinical dietician. She hadn’t been in the country too long before applying to work at Kettering Health Network, but she loved that the network genuinely cares for their staff, and also wants to provide the best holistic care to their patients. What inspires her the most about her job is being able to make someone’s day a little better. When she is educating a patient, she loves to see the “aha” moment on their face, when they understand something for the first time—that truly makes her feel like she’s making a difference. One piece of advice she leaves us with is, “do whatever makes you happy and go where you feel you can make a difference.”
