By taking care of our own health, we can better take care of others. ManageWell, a new wellness platform, is now available to all employees to encourage—and reward—healthy habits.
What is ManageWell?
ManageWell is an online platform and app available to all Kettering Health employees, and spouses of employees who are on our health plan at Kettering Health. Using ManageWell allows people to find info about Kettering Health wellness programs, complete steps to qualify for the health plan wellness incentive program, and log your healthy habits—or sync a fitness tracker—to earn points and participate in challenges.
I already use a fitness tracker. Can I connect it to ManageWell?
Yes, ManageWell can connect specific data from other platforms:
- Apple Health: Steps, exercise, sleep, water
- Google Fit: Steps, exercise, sleep
- Fitbit: Steps, exercise, sleep, weight, water
- Garmin: Steps, exercise, sleep, weight
- Misfit: Steps, sleep
- Withings: Steps, exercise, sleep, weight

- Oura: Steps, exercise, sleep

- Mapmyfitness: Exercise

What are the challenges? How do I earn prizes?
To encourage healthy habits, quarterly challenges will be available to all Kettering Health employees and to spouses who are on a Kettering Health health plan. These challenges are optional and focus on activities like tracking steps to encourage more walking. Those who participate in the challenges will be eligible for prizes like gift cards, a smart watch, and more.
What does this mean for the wellness incentive program? How do I earn my incentive?
Employees and spouses on the health plan for Kettering Health will earn their wellness incentive by logging healthy activities in ManageWell.
Here’s how to qualify:
- Kettering Health employees: Complete the health risk assessment and one activity.
- Spouses: Complete the health risk assessment.
Do I need to complete a biometric screening?
A biometric screening is not required. To qualify for the incentive, employees must complete the health risk assessment and one activity–which can be a biometric screening or any of the other options listed in the ManageWell platform.
Does this impact my benefits for 2024?
No, this update does not impact the wellness incentive for 2024. Activities in ManageWell will help employees and spouses on Kettering Health’s health plan earn the wellness incentive for 2025.
What’s the deadline for earning the incentive?
To qualify for the wellness incentive in 2025, all required activities must be completed in ManageWell by August 31, 2024.

How do I log in?
Employees
- Quick Links section on myHR: Employees will automatically be logged in through single sign-on.
- Mobile app: Enter your Kettering Health email. Then, you’ll be prompted to enter your Kettering Health ID: k + badge number@ketteringhealth.org (ex: k123456@ketteringhealth.org) and the password you use to log into your computer.
- Desktop (not at a Kettering Health location): Go to managewell.com and enter your Kettering Health email address. Then, you’ll be prompted to enter your Kettering Health ID: k + badge number@ketteringhealth.org (ex: k123456@ketteringhealth.org) and the password you use to log into your computer.
Spouses
Spouses can sign up through the desktop site (managewell.com) or mobile app and follow the directions below:
- Click “Sign Up.”
- Enter your email address and click “Continue.”
- Enter your user ID: KH + employee’s badge number + SO (ex: KH123456SO).
- Enter your date of birth and click “Continue.”
After spouses register, they’ll need to enter only the email address and password for future log-ins.
Will Kettering Health have access to the health information in ManageWell?
The information shared in ManageWell is confidential. Your results will not be shared with Human Resources nor with your supervisor or anyone on your management team.
To help with your personal wellness goals, information may be shared with your healthcare and care management providers, to the extent permitted by law, to provide health care management and/or disease management services, such as care coordination.
