Sulfur colloid, the drug used for Nuclear Medicine Gastric Empty Studies, is experiencing global shortage. We currently have supplies from local radiopharmacies to provide service Monday-Friday; there will be no weekend availability for nuclear medicine gastric empty studies. We expect this shortage to last until late November. Please place orders for NM Gastric Empty scans like normal, page for after-hours, and we will communicate any delays directly to the RN.
As a reminder, we are still experiencing a global shortage for mebrofenin, the drug used for Nuclear Medicine Gallbladder Studies. We are limited to performing these studies Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-noon, and expect this shortage to last through mid-October. Please place orders for NM Gallbladder scans like normal, page for after-hours, and we will communicate any delays directly to the RN.
Please contact Rachael Sammet for concerns or questions.
