Leslie Gullett and Morgan Miller – Kettering Health Main Campus
“I received a late-night call on December 20 from Morgan, our café team member, that water was leaking from the ceiling in the dining room. Morgan called maintenance but they were out of the building at the time. So, when Morgan and Leslie closed the café at 11:30 p.m., they went to investigate where the water could be coming from. They went to the first floor and saw water outside of the Fresco coffee shop. They called me and asked the code to get into Fresco where they found that a water filter had burst and was leaking all over the floor, into the cabinet and was heading towards the pharmacy and gift shop. Leslie found the water shut-off and turned it off, stopping the leak. Thanks to them the water didn’t get into other areas. The quick thinking from these two helped keep water from destroying anything in the pharmacy or gift shop and from causing further damage to the ceiling in the dining area. They could have clocked out and left for the night but because of their dedication to Kettering Health and their great teamwork in the cafeteria, they resolved an issue that could have been a lot worse.”

Aubri Dancek, Joshua Fitzpatrick, and Jonathan Pinero – Kettering Network Services
“Aubri, Joshua, and Jonathan are involved in hosting students for their nurse preceptorship. They do such a phenomenal job and are truly committed to our mission. When a group of nursing students moved into where they were staying for their time here, they found the facility not fully cleaned despite the teams’ understanding that it was cleaned. Aubri found out late that evening about it and sprang into action right away. The next morning, she recruited Joshua and Jonathan and together they went over right away to clean the place and make sure the students’ needs were taken care of. They also purchased them a nice little array of treats from Dorothy Lane Market. Afterwards, they also went and made sure all the other homes were cleaned for more incoming nursing students that would be arriving. Their commitment to the mission and quick action helped to quickly correct an uncomfortable experience for our visiting nursing students and set a positive tone for their experience with us. Their proactiveness also helped prevent the situation from happening to the next incoming group of nursing students. We are hoping to bring these students back to Kettering Health when they graduate, and a big part of that will be tied to the above and beyond efforts of Aubri, Joshua, and Jonathan.”
