Linda Gutierrez, ambulatory clinical pharmacist at Kettering Health, received the 2023 UNDER 40 Award from the Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) in recognition of her leadership, excellence, and vision in the practice of pharmacy. This award was presented at the OPA 145th Annual Conference in April.

“Linda is awesome. She always puts patients first. Her passion is taking care of patients who have financial barriers,” said Jim Odonnell, executive director of Pharmacy for Kettering Health. “We love having her on our team.”
Gutierrez is a practicing clinical pharmacist and certified diabetes care and education specialist at Kettering Health. She was recognized for her passion and dedication to providing affordable access to high-quality healthcare services and life-saving medications. She continues to devote time and effort to ensure her patients are receiving optimal care and seeks out resources to improve medication affordability. She is an invaluable resource for the Spanish-speaking community. Through the ability to communicate in their native language, she has built trust and rapport with those patients to ensure they are receiving equitable healthcare. Gutierrez has been described as having a “captivating spirit and being an example of steadfast loyalty and hard work.”

OPA, established in 1879, represents more than 4,000 pharmacists, pharmacy educators, and pharmacy students throughout the state.
