Congratulations to Leanne Ramos, who was recently recognized with a Living the Mission Award! Leanne is an occupational therapist in Kettering Health Hamilton’s Inpatient Therapy Department.
The Living the Mission Award is given to people who bring Kettering Health’s mission to life, demonstrating the sacred work of improving the quality of life for people in the communities we serve. They use their own time and resources to transform lives, whether that’s in one of our facilities or out in the community.

“Staff was talking about their weekends and what all they did. Leanne shared with us a very moving interaction she had while driving. I may not get all the details correct, but Leanne stated as she was driving, she saw a woman who appeared to be in distress. Naturally Leanne being the caring person she is, she pulled over to offer assistance. The woman appeared to be confused and in need of medical attention. Leanne stayed with the woman and convinced her to allow her and another bystander to call 911 for her. She was reluctant at first but agreed to wait for an ambulance.
Leanne is very caring and loving, whether she is on duty at work or out in the community. She stops to assist those in need even when she is busy and has other things she needs to do. She puts others above her own needs to make sure they are safe and taken care of. For this Leanne truly embodies Kettering Health’s mission.”
