When a snowstorm threatened to keep staff at Kettering Health Hamilton from getting to work, Amy Winkler quickly stepped in.

During the weekend of Jan. 24-25, Amy personally picked up four coworkers and brought them safely to work, ensuring the unit had the staffing needed to provide uninterrupted patient care. Her dedication didn’t stop there, she also drove colleagues home afterward, navigating treacherous conditions with care and reliability.

Amy’s selfless actions reflect a deep commitment not only to her team but also to the patients who rely on their care. By thinking ahead, taking initiative, and putting others’ needs above her own, she ensured that patient care remained consistent and that her coworkers felt supported and safe.
