Kettering Health Behavioral Medical Center (KHBMC) was awarded a 2025 Human Experience Guardian of Excellence Award in inpatient behavioral health by Press Ganey.
The awards celebrate healthcare organizations across the country for safety, clinical quality, nursing excellence, and experience. In 2025, 211 health systems and 46 health plans across the U.S. were recognized. KHBMC was among only five inpatient behavioral health systems honored.
KHBMC was honored for consistently reaching the top fifth percentile of Press Ganey’s databases through 2025. Patient experience, providers, nursing staff, care managers, cleanliness, group therapy, and Press Ganey surveys are some of the items tracked.
“Patients often come to KHBMC with a fear of the unknown, battling illnesses, emotions, or thoughts that aren’t visible and not always understood by everyone,” said Tara Peters, an inpatient nursing manager at the facility. “At KHBMC, our culture of kindness and empathy extends across every discipline. Knowing that patients who have been under our care see these attributes as well, allows us to celebrate the employees who show up every day to make a difference in our communities.”
