Physicians and APPs from across Kettering Health gathered in early December at the Dayton Convention Center to reflect on a year filled with clinical innovation, resilience through challenges, and a renewed focus to the new mission statement: to live God’s love by promoting and restoring health.
The Medical Staff Year-end Celebration brought together physicians and advanced practice providers from across the system.
Live music and a buffet dinner prepared attendees for a keynote from author Ty Gibson, who has played a significant role in shaping the new mission of Kettering Health through his clarity, compassion, and spiritual insight.

Dr. R. Shaen Harvey, the chief medical officer (CMO) for Kettering Health Miamisburg, Kettering Health Washington Township, and Kettering Health Dayton, kicked off the evening by honoring the physicians and reflecting on 2025 and some of the incredible work that went into it.
Kettering Health Medical Group CMO Dr. Steven Crawford and Kettering Health Hamilton CMO Dr. Ashlee Ames also contributed praise to those in attendance before CEO Mike Gentry closed out the downtown event with some words of encouragement.
Attendees were also treated to two enduring videos. One addressed the many challenges and successes experienced through 2025, while another touched on inspirational patient stories.
