On Friday, October 13, Kettering Health Foundation held the 21st annual Ribbon of Hope Luncheon, raising a record-breaking $150,000 for the Women’s Wellness Fund.
Attendees wearing their favorite pink clothing enjoyed lunch, networking with other Dayton business leaders, and browsing boutiques and health and wellness vendors.
The event also featured a keynote speech delivered by breast cancer survivor Dana Donofree. Dana shared her journey with breast cancer after being diagnosed in her 20s and how that inspired her to create AnaOno, a fashion brand specifically for women whose bodies have been changed by breast surgery.

The event came to a close with a video presentation delving into the realm of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. It emphasized how advancements in PET scans and radioisotopes is propelling Kettering Health into a prominent role in cancer diagnosis and treatment.
The Women’s Wellness Fund provides financial support to local women battling cancer. It supports medical costs as well as direct daily patient needs like compression garments, wigs, transportation, prosthetics, and prescriptions.
