Kettering Health Centerville Health Center celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, January 27 among facility providers and staff members, Centerville city officials, the building’s developers, and guests of honor.
“It’s an exciting day for Kettering Health and Centerville,” said F. Ward Blair, MD, medical director for the Kettering Health Medical Group Primary Care service line. “This facility allows us to collaborate for our patient’s care, all under one roof, right here in the Centerville community.”
Located at 1023 S. Main St., Centerville Health Center is a comprehensive, outpatient health center offering primary care and specialty services like heart and vascular care, women’s health and midwifery, and lab and imaging.
Kettering Health invested in the new health center to meet the growing need in Centerville and surrounding areas for high-quality, compassionate care.
“Beyond these important services, we also have plenty of room to grow,” Dr. Blair continued. “We have two shell spaces available for potential future expansion.”
The facility spans 22,000 square feet, holds 30 exam rooms, and will be operated by 40 physicians and support staff.
“I want to thank all those involved in developing this amazing building, and those who will deliver our services through it,” shared Michael Mewhirter, Kettering Health interim CEO. “We can create a vision, but without our developers, our architects, and our caregivers who extend our care, it’s just that: a building.”
Mayor Brooks Compton was also in attendance and shared his excitement for the care that will be provided to the community through Centerville Health Center.
“The opening of this facility is truly a credit to the mission established by Charles F. Kettering in 1964–and a clear indication that it still exists today.”
The health center will welcome its first patient Wednesday, February 1.
