Kettering Health hosted a groundbreaking April 7 to celebrate the start of construction on a new 24,000-square-foot medical center on the REACH site in Xenia.
Community members, local officials, and hospital leaders gathered to celebrate the addition to the healthcare landscape in Greene County and the role the facility will play in addressing the shortage of primary care and outpatient specialist services in the region.
โThis investment is a big win, not only for Xenia, but for all of Greene County,โ said Ethan Reynolds, mayor of the city of Xenia. โIt means continued access to care, more modern health facilities, and a real commitment to meeting people where they are.
โThis moment represents forward motion in Xenia with the $40 million investment Kettering Health is making to keep Greene Memorial hospital open and build this new health center on the REACH site. I look forward to building on this great relationship with Kettering Health.โ
Kettering Health Xenia Health Center will feature primary care offices, Kettering Health On-Demand Care, x-ray and lab services, as well as specialty providers including cardiologists, orthopedists, and gynecologists. The new facility will employ twenty providers across primary care and specialty services and 40 support staff members. Completion of the new facility is slated for the end of 2028.
โTogether, with the city of Xenia, we are expanding access to healthcare,โ said Paul Hoover, President of Kettering Health Greene Memorial and Soin Medical Center. โThis is part of Kettering Healthโs commitment to provide exceptional patient experiences and coordinated care right here in Greene County.โ
