Employees from 5 North Trauma and the Trauma team collected food and supplies for Daybreak—an organization that works to eliminate youth homelessness—beginning in November through the beginning of January. Those employees were able to make 80 bags filled with shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hats and gloves, tissues, granola bars, and a yearly planner. In addition to those 80 bags, the employees donated 13 packs of underwear, 10 packs of socks, four baby hats, 14 packs of diapers, 1,200 baby wipes, 36 umbrellas, 40 granola bars, 32 fruit snacks, 72 Pop-Tarts, 104 packs of oatmeal, 66 packages of ramen noodles, one football, and one basketball.
Greg Staten, Trauma PA; Dr. Witters, a local dentist; and the American Legion were all instrumental in this collection as well.
Excellent job to this team!
