After serving the community since November 2020, the Kettering Health (KH) COVID Infusion Center will close on Friday June 30, 2023.

This decision was made after thoughtful consideration of several factors, including:

1. Current trends in COVID-19 community spread and morbidity/mortality
2. Minimal utilization of KH COVID Infusion Center outpatient IV remdesivir
3. Availability of oral treatment options (Paxlovid or molnupiravir)

Key points:

1. Tuesday, June 27, 2023: The KH COVID Infusion Center will stop taking new outpatient IV remdesivir referrals
2. Wednesday, June 28, 2023: Last day for new outpatient IV remdesivir starts
3. The Outpatient COVID Referral Service will still be available to assist in oral COVID-19 treatment selection (Paxlovid or molnupiravir) for complex patient cases.
4. All Epic orders will be updated to reflect these changes on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

The network will continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 and make adjustments to outpatient treatment options as appropriate.
