October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, a time when we can come together to raise awareness, promote understanding, and celebrate the contributions of individuals with disabilities. We’re committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace, and this month provides us with a valuable opportunity to show our support for disability awareness.
National Disability Employment Awareness Month in the United States celebrates and raises awareness about all types of disabilities.

This includes but is not limited to
Physical disabilities: Such as mobility impairments, amputations, and conditions like cerebral palsy or muscular dystrophy.
Intellectual disabilities: Including conditions like Down syndrome and autism.
Sensory disabilities: Such as blindness, visual impairment, deafness, and hearing impairments.
Mental health disabilities: Such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
Neurodevelopmental disabilities: Such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and specific learning disabilities.
Chronic health conditions: Such as diabetes, epilepsy, and multiple sclerosis.
Invisible disabilities: Conditions that may not be immediately apparent, such as chronic pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, and certain mental health conditions.
National Disability Employment Awareness Month promotes inclusivity, raises awareness about the challenges and needs of people with disabilities, and encourages a more inclusive and accessible society and workplace.
