
There are changes to the Education Assistance policy that give more employees access to financial support, specifically at Kettering College. Continue reading to see what has changed and how to utilize the Education Assistance program.
What changed
- Increased eligibility: Any employee who has worked 1,040 hours in the last year (approximately 40 hours per pay period), is eligible to receive education assistance if they are or will be attending Kettering College.
- Measurement for employment commitment: Previously evaluated in hours, commitment is now tracked in time frames depending on the type of education.
- If you pursue a certification, you must remain employed with Kettering Health for six months after the final reimbursement.
- If you pursue an undergraduate degree or certificate program, you must remain employed with Kettering Health for one year after the final reimbursement.
- If you pursue a graduate degree, you must remain employed with Kettering Health for at least two years after the final reimbursement.
