Why MyChart is available as we actively restore data
Behind the scenes, our clinical teams are working to restore patient data in Epic (our electronic medical record system). This process—called “backfill”—updates patient records in real time. When that happens, MyChart automatically sends text and email notifications to let you know.
We understand these tools are important to your care and convenience. Our Information Services team continues to work closely with Epic to bring back these features as soon and as safely as possible.
Why you might receive messages
During this backfill period, you may receive text messages or emails notifying you that updates have been made to your health record. These are legitimate and safe to click through.
Even so, we always encourage you to stay alert when reviewing any digital communications.
