Kettering Medical Center and Sycamore Medical Center also named as High Performing

Kettering Medical Center has been recognized as a Best Hospital and as High Performing for seven procedures and conditions for 2020-21 by U.S. News & World Report.

The annual Best Hospitals rankings and Procedures & Conditions ratings are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or for common elective procedures.

Kettering Medical Center earned High Performing ratings for the following procedures and conditions:

  • Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair
  • Aortic valve surgery
  • Colon cancer surgery
  • Heart failure
  • Hip replacement
  • Knee replacement
  • Lung cancer surgery

Sycamore Medical Center was also named as High Performing for hip replacement procedures.

“Achieving these recognitions is an honor and an extension of the patient-centered care that we offer at Kettering Health Network,” said Brenda Kuhn, chief clinical officer of Kettering Health Network. “We are committed to providing excellent quality of care to every patient that comes through our doors.”

For the 2020-21 ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 10 procedures and conditions. Fewer than a third of all hospitals received any high-performing rating. The state and metro area rankings recognize hospitals that received high performing ratings across multiple areas of care.
