The most widely ignored preventable cause of heart disease is high blood pressure. A major contributor to high blood pressure is the salt added to our food. Surender R. Neravetla, MD, a Kettering Health cardiac surgeon, notes that processed foods provide 80% of the salt added in our food. He will explain how to watch for the salt hidden in six common foods: breads and rolls, cold cuts and cured meats, burritos and tacos, pizza, sandwiches, and soup.
This presentation is free, but space is limited, so registration is required. For more information and to register, please call (937) 558-3988.
