Kelly L. Welsh, APRN-CNP/CNM is a board-certified nurse practitioner and nurse midwife.

Kelly has many years of providing a full array of women's health services from early teens to post-menopause. She is trained in all areas of contraceptive options as well as providing individualized and compassionate prenatal and preventative health care. Kelly also attends low risk births at Soin Medical Center, serves as the Lead Advanced Practice Provider for Kettering Health Women's Services, and sits on the Montgomery County Infant Mortality Task Force. Her ultimate goal is to always provide the best experience for her patients.

Kelly is happily married with three children who all enjoy attending the University of Dayton Men's basketball games.

What is a Certified Nurse Midwife?

A certified nurse midwife (CNM) is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. They hold a master's or doctoral degree program with specialized training in Women's Health and a concentration in pregnancy, labor, birth, and care after birth. Midwives affirm the strength of women and recognize the importance of a woman's well-being. Like physicians, they can make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.
