Jamie Mason, APRN-CNM, is a certified nurse midwife in women's health. She has special interests in obstetrics, women's wellness, and contraception.

She earned her Master of Science in nursing-advanced generalist from the University of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati and her Master of Science in nursing-advanced practice from the University of Cincinnati. Jamie previously served as a certified nurse midwife at Cleveland Clinic.

Jamie has always been passionate about women's health. She was inspired to pursue a career in women's health after helping a father deliver his baby over the phone while working as a 911 dispatcher. Because of her quick thinking and effective guidance, she was invited to the hospital to share a memorable and heartfelt moment with the family.

Jamie is married and has seven adult children and a granddaughter. In her spare time, she enjoys bowling, crafting, customizing t-shirts and cups, painting, and crocheting.

What is a Certified Nurse Midwife?

A certified nurse midwife (CNM) is an advanced practice registered nurse. They hold a master’s or doctoral degree with specialized training in Women’s Health and a concentration in pregnancy, labor, birth, and care after birth. Midwives affirm the strength of women and recognize the importance of a woman’s well-being through every stage of life. Like physicians, they can make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.
