Dr. James Parker specializes in minimally invasive approaches for general surgery procedures. He completed his surgical training at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. During his residency, he excelled in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. He completed a fellowship with specialized training in minimally invasive surgery at Saint Luke's Health System in Kansas City.
During his fellowship, Dr. Parker amassed a large volume of robotic and laparoscopic cases with excellent outcomes. He has completed highly specialized training focusing on a robotic platform and its use for foregut, colon, and abdominal wall procedures.
Dr. Parker joined Kettering Health Medical Group and the Hamilton community to apply his training with the robotic platform and create an innovative, modern approach to patient care and improved outcomes.
In his spare time, Dr. Parker enjoys playing golf, tennis, and soccer. He also finetunes his finger dexterity with video games. He is happily married to the other Dr. Parker, a native of Colerain Township and a pediatrician with Cincinnati Children's Emergency Department. Together they have a daughter and a son.
